Nature Reserve

Species at our Facility

These are just a few animals and birds that are seen on our property from time to time. Bob Cats, as well as Deer have been spotted. A pair of Bald Eagles have been observed flying into the woods/bay head with their young. They apparently have a nest somewhere in the woods as they always enter and exit the center of the trees. We have a small pond at the entrance to our property and the Eagles will fish in the pond and then sit on the drive consuming their catch. Eventually they return to the middle of the woods. The woods/bay head is about 18 acres and is wet most of the year, therefore no one is permitted in this area making it a great place for the birds and animals to take up residency.

Wild Turkey’s are commonly seen and occasionally you will see a Ringneck Pheasant.
